Nigel Richardson
Corporate Director
A co-founder and Director of Meridian, Nigel has an extensive financial background and is currently CFO of a large privately held energy marketing and midstream company with operations throughout North America. He is a member of the executive team of Trinity Group, a private equity and debt fund based in Calgary. Prior to these roles he held senior positions for a number of years in Vancouver and Calgary with a major global bank where he established new highly successful offices in Treasury Services (foreign exchange, derivatives) and Corporate Banking (Debt and Corporate Finance).Nigel holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and holds a BBA degree from Simon Fraser University and a graduate level diploma in Corporate Finance from the University of Alberta.
Active in the community, he is Chair of Discovery House, a well established charitable organization founded in 1980 and is the past Chair of the organizing committee for the 2006 Calgary Business Hall of Fame gala dinner in support of Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta.
