After spending seven years as a financial examiner and Exchange Examiner and Chief Compliance Officer for the Alberta Stock Exchange, Andrea moved into the role of Director, Finance and Administration for another two years as part of the senior executive team for the ASE. She took care of all financial, HR, and administrative functions including financial reporting, annual budgets, and audit processes. In addition, Andrea managed transition, retention, severance, and outplacement services for staff during the VSE/ASE merger.Andrea also dedicated time to a VP Finance position for the Lake Bonavista Community Association for four years.
Andrea has many specialized training highlights to accompany her career experiences. Having been involved in numerous courses and seminars since obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, and her Chartered Accountant designation, she brings this knowledge and expertise to Meridian’s advisory board.
Presently, she heads her own consulting service and performs various controller/CFO services on a contractual basis.
